Private Golden Ring Day Tour: Vladimir and Suzdal

Unveil the magic of the famous Golden Ring – medieval towns Vladimir and Suzdal – the best places to experience Russian province.

This is a full-day tour from Moscow (about 220 km). Our tour starts at the Vladimir train station.

We start our exploration of Russia's Golden Ring by visiting Vladimir Observation Platform to get enchanted by the panoramic view of this gem town. From here the whole city is if on your palm. Then through the medieval streets, we reach the Assumption Cathedral; its walls are covered with elaborate carvings, and here we can glimpse at Adrei Rublev frescos – the most famous icon-painter in Russia.  You will have the undivided attention of your guide and the itinerary can be adapted to suit your needs. The next stop is the Golden Gate - the architectural masterpiece of that time.

We move to Suzdal to walk on ramparts of its Kremlin and enjoy the onion domes and golden spires. In addition, you learn a lot about Russian history and culture. Visit the astonishing Suzdal Museum of Wood Craftsmanship is also included to this tour.

For the shopaholics and just people in search of extraordinary memorabilia the Suzdal market open its doors. The variety of handcraft souvenirs will surprise you, also you will be pleasantly surprised by its prices that is far lower than in Moscow.

Please book in advance.

You will need to take care of your train tickets and getting to the city of Vladimir, from where our team will have everything arranged. Your guide will meet you at the train station of Vladimir and take you an a private Vladimir and Suzdal tour by comfortable private car or minivan. After the tour you will be dropped off at the Vladimir station. 

The tour duration is approx. 7 hours. You should allow min. 7 hours for this tour in order to enjoy it. If you are doing this tour from Moscow consider arriving to Vladimir between 9 am - 11-30 am; departing between 4-30 pm - 7 pm. 

For guests with children under 6 y.o.: if there are 2 or 5 adults and 1 or more children in your party it will require a car upgrade to allow comfortable seating for everyone (and child security seats) for which we will bill you separately.

For students & student groups: if you're booking for a student group, please include a "single" ticket for one participant; other participants will need a "student" ticket. Alternatively, consider getting a "group" ticket for everyone, if it offers a cheaper price. If your are a solo-travelling student, please book with a "single" ticket.
